Tapes

Tape hair extensions are a semi-permanent hair extension method that provides a more permanent and less bulky option over clip-in extensions.

Our high spec cuticle correct remy tape extensions are a dream to fit due to their super quick fitting time. Designed to be reapplied, the hair has an expected lifespan of 9-12 months with correct maintenance and aftercare. Tape hair extensions will last around 6-8 weeks before needing adjusting.

The scalloped edging enables a truly bespoke fit for each client as each 4cm wide piece can be easily resized to 2cm or 1cm as required to create a completely natural look.

The whole application process can last as little as 30-90 minutes and is dependent on how many wefts you are having attached to your hair. Quick and easy with no heat required, there’s a very low risk of damage to your natural hair, provided that you get your tape extensions installed and removed professionally.

FAQ

  • How long do hair extensions last?

How long hair extensions last can vary depending on the type of fitting, the type of hair used and how the individual cares for their extensions. Generally, real human hair extensions should last for 4-6 months should they follow the correct maintenance and aftercare guidance.

  • How to wash hair extensions

First, hair extensions should always be washed with a shower head that flows water in the same direction of your hair in order to prevent tangling. Avoid washing hair extensions in the bath as this can cause strands to loop and knot (this is particularly important for pre-bonded or nano ring extensions).

    1. Brush hair thoroughly using a tangle teezer or wide-toothed comb.
    2. Wet hair under running water.
    3. Lather a 50p sized amount of salon quality shampoo from the roots down. Do not scrub in circular motions, just gently smooth over.
    4. Run water to remove access shampoo and run fingers through to ensure all the product is washed away.
    5. Apply a 50p sized amount of salon quality conditioner from mid lengths to the end of your hair (please avoid lubricating bonds/rings).
    6. Rinse thoroughly.
  • How to colour match hair extensions

    1. If you’re matching yourself, try to match your hair extensions to the ends of your hair rather than the roots as that is where they need to blend the most.
    2. For a professional match, book a consultation with a stylist who can perfectly match up your extensions with your hair and skin tone for an overall natural look that will suit you.

Be prepared to customise your colour or tone, especially if you’ve got balayage or ombre hair. If you’ve got platinum blonde or cool ashy hair then you may also need to consider a toner too.

  • Can you use heated products on your hair extensions?

Yes, you can use heated products on real human hair extensions. However, it’s important that you use heat protective spray products and low heat, just like you would on your own natural hair.

When blowdrying, ensure you remain in a cool setting and direct your nozzle down.

  • How to look after your hair extensions

    • Every morning separate your bonds with your fingers to ensure they aren’t tangled and are sitting separately.
    • Wash your hair extensions correctly with high quality salon products.
    • Brush your hair gently with a hair extension hairbrush.
    • Never sleep with wet extensions.
    • Attend regular hair extension maintenance appointments (every 4-6 weeks).
    • Use weekly deep conditioning treatments.
    • Avoid chlorine in swimming pools and minerals in the sea as it will leave your hair extensions brittle.
  • What is the difference between “Hair Extensions” and “Tapes” extensions

The same great quality as the bonds but last for 6-8 weeks and can be reused & reapplied several times. Perfect for that summer getaway or a special occasion, you’re ready to go in as little as 30 minutes
