Wedding hair at RMUK

By RMUK on May 5th, 2013

Growing hair- One of the first things to think about is the style you wish to achieve and how you want your hair to look in terms of length. Plan ahead and make sure you don’t have it cut right before your wedding if you need that length for your hair to be put up into your required style.

Professional hair Treatments – Can really boost hair growth (along with healthy eating). Try coming in for a hair treatment such as L’Oreal Professionel Power Repair B or Cristalceutic, at least once a month or at least when you have your hair trimmed, and start as many months before your wedding day if you can. For the last couple of weeks increase application to at least once times a week at RMUK we can simply shampoo your hair, apply the treatment and then the conditioner with a rough dry to finish for ONLY £10!
Or if you don’t have time to venture to RMUK for your treatments then use a professional masque as a treatment at home, we recommend L’Oreal Professional Intense Repair Conditioner or Kerastase Nutri Thermique Masque. The masques are more concentrated than normal conditioners so you only need to use a tiny amount. Use one of these treatments and you will notice your hair has become smoother, sleeker and shinier for your wedding day! Conditioned hair will also behave better when styling.

Straighteners and Curling- If you just love your straigtheners and styling tools, (and who doesn’t?), make sure you use a heat protector such as L’Oreal
Professionel Hot Style Constructor Spray, to help limit damage and stop your hair drying out too much during the weeks leading up to your wedding. If you
can cut down and then stop straightening your hair the week before you wedding, you will notice a big difference in the quality of your hair.

Hair extensions? There is quite a bit to hair extensions! They can be key to create your dream wedding hairstyle. At RMUK we now offer 2 brands of hair extensions Great Lengths and Racoon. Hair extensions can help add volume, length, texture and/or chemical-free colour to any style. You can personalise your application to meet all your needs. If your hair is fine or lifeless then volume is exactly what you need. Our stylists will add extra ‘layers’ of hair in between your locks to achieve great thickness. Many women find their hair only grows to a set length before starting to look unhealthy and ratty with split ends. With hair extensions you can achieve any length you desire. This will come in handy for achieving certain looks, such as a curly downstyle or a thick ballerina bun. Hair must be at least 10cm in length for hair extensions to be applied. Hair extensions are easy to work with. They are also infused with keratin (the protein found in hair, skin and nails, which keeps them strong and healthy) for a smooth, frizz free finish.

Tanning Available at RMUK with Tan Laboratories

By RMUK on June 7th, 2012

How long will my tan last?

Approx 5-7 days providing you use the correct before and after care.

For the best results

You must exfoliate and moisturise the day before your appointment, to remove all dead skin

Please DO NOT moisturize on the day of your appointment

Daily moisturizing will extend your tan by 2-3 days

Shave or wax AT LEAST 24 hours before your tanning appointment

Remove all traces of make up, deodorant and perfume prior to appointment as they can cause a barrier

To your appointment please wear dark loose clothing so this avoids a possibility of the tan rubbing off onto lighter coloured garments

Please do not wear tight garments of clothing and shoes such as skinny jeans, socks, trainers and belts as these can cause frictions and rub marks

Do not apply moisturiser or liquid make directly after your appointment

Do not wash your hands for the first 2 hours after your appointment to prevent the possibility of water marks on your wrists

Leave the tan application on your skin for at least 6-8 hours, for the best results leave on overnight. Shower as normal the following morning, pat dry your skin after showering please do not rub your skin, apply your moisturiser as normal.

Do not exfoliate for the first 5 days after your tanning application

Do not participate in any exercise especially swimming whilst your tan is developing, you can continue all normal activities once you have had the first shower

Please note that Tan Laboratories does not contain a SPF so you will need to protect yourself from the sun in your normal way

Kate Moss

By RMUK on July 27th, 2011

Kate wears what she wants. She is more of a trend setter than a trend follower. She is one of the greatest fashion and hair influences, (think the james brown crop) of all time due to her originality and her rock-star lifestyle. She popularized so any fashion items such as skinny jeans, Ugg boots, demin cut off shorts, Viviene Westwood pirate boots, Alexander McQueen’s skull scarf and the Balenciaga handbag.

Kate has an urban-grunge-rock style while mixing labels and high street together to create an attainable yet effortless look but still keeping it chic cool.
