This technique is known as both demi -permanent and semi-permanent colours. A true Semi-permanent colour washes out of the hair within 16 washes, and leave very little if any trace of it ever being there. However this type of colour is mainly suitable for adding different tones and shine to your hair with no commitment. Demi-permanent colour is a form of permanent colour; it fades naturally blending with your re-growth when growing out. This is great if you want colour but don’t have the time to visit the salon every 6-8 weeks. Usually you may go either two shades lighter or darker as well as your own natural with this type of colour.
