Plaits have been on trend for a few seasons now, and why not? There are so many ways you can plait your hair, traditional plait, fish plait, french pleat, the list goes on. This season sees a simple thin plait at one side of the hair going round the back of the head to harness the rest of your hair. And don’t worry you don’t need to have super long hair like the models in our pictures either! This style sports 2 trends in 1 style – the plait and the side parting. Both are huge on the catwalks at the moment

On a more sensible note Erdem catwalk show showed sleek sophistication.
Erdem is more known for prints and colour but this season went in a completely different direction. All the outfits were black or covered in a black veil and the models hair were swept into a side parting and straigthened for a polished look. The whole show had a very femme-fatale fell to it and far more dramatic than their previous collections
This look is easy to acheive:
- Shampoo and conditioner your hair as normal.
- Towel dry your hair. apply Liss Control to damp hair for a smooth look with slight hold.
- Blow dry your hair using a paddle brush for a smooth sleek finish into a side parting
- Run GHD straighteners over your hair for a straighter look, not forgetting to use L’Oreal Hot Style Constructor Spray to protect your hair against the heat
- Apply a pump of L’Oreal Mythic Oil or Moroccanoil to tame flyaway hairs and to add extra shine
- Finally tuck your hair behind your ears, DONE!

Model of the moment, Ruby-Jean Wilson, made a splash this season with her striking new shade of peroxide blonde.
As muse to Marc Jacobs, Ruby’s new hue surely served as at least a starting point for his Edie Sedgwick-inspired pop-art collection.
And it’s no coincidence that it was Ruby again who opened Louis Vuitton with that bright blonde hair taking centre stage once more, setting the scene for another sixties-style show.
Taking elements of swinging London style with just a dash of grunge, this peroxide pretty look is one to watch for the new season.
We are big fans of Ruby-Jean’s new style. It’s a fun, feminine look, especially when worn curly or in soft waves. The soft tone really suits her natural colouring.
Ruby-Jean’s hair is a soft, glossy blonde which looks more champagne than silver-toned. This hue really helps to warm her complexion and give her skin a healthy glow.

Alesha Dixon was not going to be outdone by Amanda Holden and showed off her own new hair cut. Alesha looked stunning with her perfectly sleek, shiny new long bob. Straightening and smoothed to perfection, maybe after having a treatment such as a Brazilian Blow Dry, with an on-trend side parting, not a hair out of place!
Before she took to the red carpet, Alesha tweeted about seeing her fellow judge Amanda again – she said: “Can’t wait to see my TV wife!” Bless – it’s great to see that they get on so well!

She’s had platinum blonde locks of varying lengths for over a decade. But Amanda Holden showcased a bold new look as she stepped out at the first day of Britain’s Got Talent auditions in Cardiff, Wales, on Wednesday.
Ditching her light tresses in favour of a choppy brunette style, Amanda was sporting a dark and interesting new look.
Although there was no doubt the darker colour certainly suited the BGT host, she chose to have honey blonde streaks running through her locks, making for a somewhat unusual look, or maybe it was just the camera lighting.
Aside from going over to the dark side, Amanda had her ‘do teased into a feminine and flirty style with light curls at the end.
