There’s one word that never comes up when talking about the glamorous girls of TOWIE, and that’s subtle.
The pumped up, uber-tanned and artificially enhanced cast of scripted reality show The Only Way Is Essex have made false nails, glue-on eyelashes and fake tan their own. Ever since the launch of The Only Way Is Essex we have seen an increase in the number of clients having eyelash extensions and nail enhancements. At RMUK we provide both Acrylic and gel extensions.
The TOWIE girls such as Lauren Pope, Lauren G and Amy Childs, don’t wear them long like they did in the 80s – they wear the shorter or more medium length.
Both of our therapists provide nail extension services, Jo creates longer nails using acrylic, award winning Georgia uses Bio Sculpture Gel. Acrylics have always been most popular as more salons provide this service. We are one of only a few salons in the area that provides Gel extensions.
To enhance your lashes we provide two services – party lashes, eyelash extensions that last a few days, and LashesClinic, a treatment that you use nightly to stimulate eyelash growth
A treatment that non of the Towie girl’s could live without is their fake tan. At RMUK we use Tan Labourities for a more subtle tanning experience

The treatment is inspired from ancient Thai therapy used since the 14th Century, where practitioners utilised a warm cotton cloth containing herbs wrapped tightly in a bundle then boiled to make a hot herbal stamp. The herbal stamp was then massaged firstly onto the pressure points running along the meridians then over the skin as well as deep manipulations to aching muscle tissue.
The thermal stamp is then used to manipulate the ingredients into the skin working with intense hear to relax and soothe tight muscles. The thermal stamp with a mix of ingredients can treat a variety of skin and body concerns. The benefits of the thermal stamp include detoxification, re-mineralisation, anti-inflammation, anti-itching, soothing, stress reduction and exfoliation. The massage itself works upon the meridian lines throughout the body to help aid in its relaxation and rebalance.
In addition to heat, touch is another important aspect of the body therapy treatment. In the past ten years it has become increasingly more apparent that touch and touch deprivation are critical considerations for the health and happiness of human beings. Touch helps decrease stress and anxiety and the physiological and behavioural changes that accompany this decline in stress and anxiety result in more relaxed and attentive individuals.

How do Hopi Ear Candles work?
The candles are made from the natural ingredients of beeswax, honey extracts, sage, St Johns Wort, chamomile, beta-carotene and organically grown flax. The candles draw any impurities to the surface where they can be gently removed. They equalise the pressure in the head and ears, making them suitable for most conditions.
