Roberto Moura, co owner of Hairdressing and beauty salon, RMUK in Leeds, began life in Rio de Janeiro. Born into a glamour filled lifestyle, Roberto’s mother an Italian who married a Brasilian man, was a dressmaker, designing gowns and prêt-a-porter for the stars. His father meanwhile, was a professional footballer playing for Clubs such as Botafogo, Fluminense and Santos alongside stars of the time such as Garrincha and Pele; Roberto and his family, were in fact, guests at Pele’s wedding in Santos. Aged eight, Roberto’s mother returned to Italy taking Roberto and his younger brother Marco back to Italy, her country of origin. Lina Moura headed for Milan, where she had many fashion contacts, and this became Roberto’s home until he was 23.

Now a partner in his family business, Leeds lifestyle hair and beauty salon, RMUK, Massi Moura secured his first job in a budget store at the age of seven. From 8:30am to 6pm on Saturdays and seven days a week during the holidays, seven year old Massi relentlessly stacked shelves and cleaned the shop.
